BOTOX® Cosmetic & Dysport®
BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport and XEOMIN® are prescribed neuromodulators that are primarily injected into facial muscles and used to temporarily soften the appearance of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow’s feet (laugh lines around the eyes), and frown lines between the eyebrows. Prevention of muscle contraction in these localized areas prevents progressive wrinkles from forming. Often these injections are the first step towards aging gracefully or reversing the aging process.
BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport and XEOMIN® injections are also used to treat Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, a common disorder that interferes with the everyday life of many people. Injections can be performed to underarms to temporarily block the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate sweat glands. Severe sweating is reduced when the sweat glands don’t receive the chemical signals. Results vary but many patients enjoy between 6-12 months of a reduction in severe sweating.
BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport and XEOMIN® injections can be used in an off-label manner to treat TMJ, under eye jelly rolls, pebble chin, gummy smiles, DAO and platysmal bands (neck bands).
